What are the requirements to participate in Work-Based Learning?
In order to apply for the Work-Based Learning program, here are the requirements that you must meet:
- Be at least 16 years old
 - MUST have transportation and have an official school parking permit
 - On track for graduation and pathway completion. (Must have completed or be enrolled in 2nd level class of CTAE pathway.)
 - Overall grade point average of at least 75, and grade averages of at least 75 in fundamental math and English courses as well as in the related career-technical subjects taken
 - Maintain good attendance, including tardies (<=5 preferred, NOT more than 10 per semester)
 - Have good/no discipline records (No major discipline in previous/current school year)
 - Good work ethics record (Based on 2 Teacher Recommendations: one academic and one CTAE)
 - Be clear of any school debts.
 - Complete all Work-Based Learning application forms
 - Have a career objective related to the work experience program area/pathway to which you are applying
 - Complete an interview with Work-Based Learning Coordinator
 - Attend mandatory student & parent/guardian meeting after being accepted into the program
 - Be an Active member of the corresponding CTSO (FCCLA, FFA, HOSA, or SkillsUSA)
